My passion for the auto industry developed in my York University days, when I began buying and selling cars on campus. This led to the purchase of my first dealership, Toronto’s Town and Country BMW, in 1978.
I expanded this automotive portfolio over the years to include Honda, Subaru, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Eagle, Renault, and Mazda. When I sold Town and Country in 1994, it was one of Ontario’s larger automotive groups.

Fred has been a car guy his entire adult life. Having started on the floor at Parkway Toyota in Hamilton, Ontario, he quickly became its top producing salesman; Fred then moved to Classic Honda in Brampton, and finally Valley Chrysler in Woodbridge, where he rose through the ranks and eventually became general manager of the largest Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Eagle, and Renault dealership of its era.
Those of us who are old enough, remember what a challenge it was in those days to run a Chrysler store – Fred ran it at a young age, and did so successfully.
